you know you can install any version of Ubuntu then install the Netbook remix packages through Synaptec/Apt-get, so install NBR that way, start off with any version of Ubuntu Karmic... even Mint. then to use it you need to select it as the GUI at the login menu

Yeah ... What you said is right Timmy ^_- I have 2 eee pc's . One with the UNR on a 4 gig eee 900 and one eee pc 900 with the regular 32 bit Ubuntu with a 16 gig drive . Both work nice ^_- The 4 gig model SHOULD use UNR because the regular Ubuntu takes up too much hard drive space . UNR is really nice and WAY better then the Xandros Linux that came pre-installed ^_- Xandros hardly even updates the repositories for it .

Yeah I am very disappointed with Xandros lack of development over the last few years... before that, once upon a time, Xandros was the most advanced and user-friendly Debian based OS on Earth.

Yep . I got excited when I first heard of the EEE PC with Linux . I knew about Xandros already and that they had a nice user friendly Linux distro But yeah ... It's very disappointing that Xandros and the EEE PC with Linux are being swept under the rug . The Xandros Linux that comes pre-installed on the EEE is hardly ever updated . The software is VERY old . Thank the stars for UNR
