Subject: Asus 1001HA netbook and wireless - by: bburke42

Hi Tim,

I watched your excellent Ubu netbook remix video yesterday - and subscribed, and here I am!

I noticed at the end of your video, that your wireless card wasn't recognised. As I have the exact same model and OS, I've got the same problem.

There's plenty on the Ubuntu forums about this topic - the only thing I can't decide is the best solution (because there's so many).

This looks promising...ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1345577&highlight=RT3090

But I was inclined to ask -what did you do with your wireless?

regards,
Subject: Broadband wireless on HP DV2-1118 Netbook - by: BloodWolf

Ive had a HP netbook for a while now and ive been wanting to put Linux Netbook Remix on it (i perfer this on it over Windows cuz its runs so much better), but i havent because i havent not been able to figure out how to get the built in boradband wireless to work. My broadband service is with Sprint. I looked on the sprint site on how to get broadband to work in linux but i am not sure if they ment the internal broadband, the external usb, or both.

Oh and a little side thing to say
Tim my HP Netbook is AMD. I saw your video on youtube that you got a intel based Netbook. I wish i would have had the luck of talking to you when you were doing your research on them. Its a very good one.
